New Boat Dock Completed

A committee was formed this past summer to raise funds through donations to install a dock at the boat launch area.  The committee raised $837.00 which included a $300.00 donation from the Kids Fishing Derby Committee and a $100.00 donation from the Road Committee.  The work on the installation of the dock  was done while the lake was still frozen.  This made the job of putting the posts into the muck much easier.  The dock is being completed as this newsletter is being written.  This summer when you are launching your boat or your guests are boarding at the boat launch it will be so much easier with a dock.  Thank you to all that donated to this effort and to Henry Harris for spearheading the fundraising committee.  The Shay Lake Community owes a profound THANK YOU  to the volunteers that performed the actual work on the dock:  Ernie Coleman, Greg Chorba, and Neschell Davis.  When you see these guys be sure and let them know how much we appreciate them—because “Baby, It’s  Cold Outside.”  We applaud their volunteer spirit and also want to remind other members of the Shay Lake community that we are always in need of volunteers.
